Today on the Rarified Heir Podcast, we are diving head first into the wild world of socially distanced interviews. On this episode, we are talking to Jordan Summers, son of actor and Screen Actors Guild President Yale Summers.
Yale Summers was most known role was as Jack Dane on the Sixties television show Daktari as well as recurring roles on as the ABC Soap Opera General Hospital & Return to Peyton Place. But what he is best remembered for was his almost a quarter century devotion to SAG and founding the SAG awards.
Meanwhile Jordan has become a successful musician & composer – working with bands like The Wallflowers, All Day Sucker & his high school band The Imposters as well as production & session work on documentaries like the film Echo in the Canyon. So what’s it like recording with Brian Wilson? Performing with high school jazz band members that included future members of Warrant, Buckcherry and The Bird & the Bee? Or maybe it was having Michelle Lee and James Farantino as Godparents? Don Rickles and Bob Newhart as MC at your school fundraiser? Yeah, it gets wacky.
Oh and somehow we’ve found another child of a celebrity who Josh went to school with. A Grover no less! And maybe we’ll find out why Josh could never eat Jordan Almonds after the prom.
